“METEOR”(メテオ)ラインは、従来のキャンバスアッパーのSOLSとは異なり、異素材をアッパーに使用した不定期リリースの新シリーズです。創業1873年久留米・ムーンスター工場にて1960-70年代頃に生産された同社のデッキシューズをベースに少量生産されます。 SOLSのチャッカデザインはそのままに、すべての法制を見直してアップデートしたアッパーにはLIGHT FLANNELを採用しました。 柔らかく起毛された100%COTTON素材は軽やかなスエードのような印象で、デザートブーツを彷彿とさせます。 アウトソールにはナチュラルラバー並のグリップ力を発揮する特殊配合したガムソールに、波形の切れ込みが入る通称スペリソール。 ラバーテープとのコントラストに合わせて二種類のシューレースが付属します。

SOLS(ソルズ)
福岡県久留米市にて、1892年創業のアサヒコーポレーション( 旧・ 日本ゴム) 。1970年代、米国ナイキ社の創設者フィル・ナイトが訪れ、その技術力から同社のスポーツシューズの生産を最初に委託されたことでも知られます。昨今では自社製品はもとより、国内では稀少となったバルカナイズ製法にて、数々の名門デッキシューズも国産で請け負ってきました。SOLS は、1960 ~ 1970年代頃のKEDSやTOP-SIDER、VANSなど、オールドデッキシューズ特有のディティール、パターンを分析し、オマージュしたブランドです。
