GG Sweatshirt Crewneck

A GG French terry crewneck sweatshirt designed to develop more character with wear and become a piece to cherish over time. Reinforcement pieces have been added around the shoulders, where the fabric is prone to stretching through repeated wear and washing, improving overall durability. This reinforcement idea is adapted from a technique used in baseball uniforms to prevent tearing during slides. The pieces are carefully set into place while precisely calculating how much of the reinforcement will be visible on the outside, requiring a high level of sewing expertise. The reinforcement pieces and the gussets placed at the front and back are made from 100% cotton fabric also used for the ribbing. With greater stretch than the body fabric, these components are designed to conform to the body more naturally with continued wear. Flat-seam construction is used for the main seams to provide a comfortable feel against the skin and minimize bulky seam allowances, while areas requiring greater strength feature a covering stitch construction using a single-needle overlock machine. This sweatshirt is packed with Jackman’s distinctive ingenuity, combining comfortable wearability with the toughness to be enjoyed for years to come.
