Back Nep Trousers

These trousers are made from a distinctive back-nep fabric. The raw cotton used to create the fabric is a blend of dry-textured American and Australian cotton. During the carding process, the machinery is specially adjusted to create natural neps in the yarn. The fabric is then woven on a rapier loom, which adds strength to the yarn while enhancing the overall durability of the fabric.
To give the surface a refined appearance, the fabric is dyed without mercerization, preserving the subtle unevenness of the neps and creating a naturally textured look. A resin finish is then applied to give the fabric added firmness, while also improving its wind resistance and helping to minimize shape distortion after washing.
Designed as the matching trousers to the Back Nep Jacket, this latest model retains the tapered silhouette of its predecessor. The elastic shirring at the waist has been removed and replaced with darts, creating a cleaner, more refined fit around the hips by reducing excess volume.
The angle of the side pockets has also been adjusted for easier access. The back pockets feature welt-and-flap construction, the same jetter-and-flap pocket design used on the JM8568 jacket.
